Tofu Taco Meat

Vegan, Dairy-Free, Gluten-Free (optional)

Servings: 6-8 tacos

Prep Time: 1 hour

Cook Time: 15 minutes


16 ounces of firm tofu

1/8 cup of olive oil

2/3 cup of diced tomatoes

2 tbsp of medium salsa

1 tbsp of Chile powder

1/2 tsp of garlic powder

1/4 tsp of adobo seasoning


  1. Drain tofu, crumble, and press with paper towels.

  2. Freeze for at least 1 hour (helps to remove excess water)

  3. Remove from freezer and allow two defrost

  4. Add olive oil to skillet with tofu, and cook for 5 - 10 minutes. Add remaining ingredients and seasoning.

  5. Serve on your choice tortillas with favorite toppings.
